S3/S4 BOYS: Football training will start again on Wednesday 1st February 3.30 – 4.30pm – Mr Sloan.
S3/4: RURAL SKILLS FARM VISIT Thurs 2nd Feb 2017
** Authorisation slips must be handed in ASAP **. Below is a list of pupils who will be involved in a mandatory field trip part of their rural skills course. The visit will take place between 09:30 and 15:25 on Thurs the 2nd of Feb. Pupils have been instructed to catch work they miss from other subjects. Any problems or queries please do not hesitate to contact Mrs White, Mrs McHallum or myself – Mr Halliday.
S5: LONDON TRIP. Reminder to pay London Trip money to Mrs Law, English Base.
S5/6: CITY OF GLASGOW COLLEGE APPLICATIONS will open on 25th January. If you are thinking of applying or need a back up to University, please be ready to apply quickly as places go fast! See your Pupil Support teacher or Karen Skilling in careers library for more info. Miss Dalrymple
S4/5/6: 3B CONSTRUCTION (BASED IN PORT WILLIAM) ARE CURRENTLY LOOKING FOR AN OFFICE JUNIOR AND AN ACCOUNTS MANAGER. This post would be ideal for someone looking to start a career and progress through the workplace rather than the University route. For the right candidate we would support them through college etc. if that was what they wished. See Miss Dalrymple for more information.
S5: APPLICATIONS ARE NOW OPEN FOR THE SCOTTISH SPACE SCHOOL. This is run by the University of Strathclyde and will take place between 11th and 16th June 2017. Pupils who are studying Maths and Sciences at Higher level are invited to apply. For more information, see Miss Dalrymple.
S3/4/5: MEDIC MENTOR WEEK. Any pupil who is considering a career as a Dr may wish to consider attending this event. Hosted by the University of Stirling on 25th and 26th February 2017. See Miss Dalrymple for more information.
S5: Just a reminder that the online application system for NUFFIELD RESEARCH PLACEMENTS 2017 is still open but there are now only 6 weeks left for applications – closing date 24th February 2017. See Miss Dalrymple for more information.
