“NEW”S1-S6/STAFF: CHILDREN IN NEED CHARITY MATCH. To help raise funds for Children in Need, there will be 2 charity matches between seniors and staff. On Thursday there will be a Netball Match will Female Teachers and S6 Girls in the bus park 12.50 pm and on Friday there will be a Football Match between Male Teachers and S6 Boys on the 3G 12.50 K.O. A good turnout would be appreciated with generous donations to support Pudsey and Children in Need. Of course, all this is weather dependant! – Ms Biagioni on behalf of Charities Committee
S1-6: NETBALL. Game against Douglas Ewart High School will be on Tuesday 17th November from 3.30pm. Game against Dalbeattie High School will be on Monday 23rd November from 3.30pm. Team lists are on extra-curricular notice boards outside PE Base. Let Miss Dalrymple know ASAP if you are unable to play.
S1-3: SCIENCE CLUB. Cancelled this week due to staff meeting but will return next week. If you have an experiment you would like to carry out speak to Mr Cameron before Friday 13th and we may experiment on the 19th November. – Mr Cameron

S1-6: BOOK WEEK SCOTLAND 2015. As part of ‘Book Week Scotland’ the Literacy Group will be holding a Coffee Morning/Book Sale on Friday 27th November in the library. Any book donations would be greatly appreciated. All monies raised will go to the World Literacy Funds campaign Education for Refugees – Thank you. – Mrs Arthington

S1-4: RUGBY. Training will take place on Wednesday’s after school (outdoors) from 3.30 until 4.45. Please meet in the Outdoor Changing Rooms. New members welcome.
S1-5: We are now recruiting for POLICE SCOTLAND YOUTH VOLUNTEERS in Stranraer Academy catchment area. This is a fantastic opportunity to gain more skills and qualifications whilst having fun doing so. Our group began the adventure in May this year and we have already received regional and national recognition for the fantastic work our team has been involved in. This opportunity is open to everyone aged 13-15 years old. If you applied before and were unsuccessful, please submit a new application. Should you require any further information then please speak to PC Boyce or any of the Police Scotland Youth Volunteers within the school.
S3: BRONZE DUKE OF EDINBURGH. Any pupil who has not yet collected a form for signing up for Bronze Duke of Edinburgh must collect one by this Friday (please come during registration time to collect forms). Forms and money are due in Friday 13th November (again please bring forms and money during registration time) – Miss Goulden.
